Our close-knit graduate program provides students with numerous performance and learning opportunities, along with personalized career development guidance from faculty and visiting artists/lecturers.

Prospective students must hold a bachelor's degree in music from an accredited institution or an equivalent foreign university. The Graduate Studies Committee will evaluate whether an applicant's qualifications match a bachelor's degree standard and may require additional testing to assess readiness for Hartt's programs.

Saxophone studies at The Hartt School create a supportive yet rigorous atmosphere that nurtures artistic development and equips students with skills for professional success. With modest studio sizes in the woodwind department, students receive ample individual instruction and performance exposure. Whether your goals include performing, teaching, production, management, acoustics, or other music-related fields, Hartt's woodwind department offers a pathway for your aspirations.
