Merging intensive conservatory training with robust music education fundamentals, this program equips you to become a music teacher for elementary and secondary schools. The Hartt Music Education Division provides one of the country's most thorough curricula. Blending demanding conservatory instruction with comprehensive music pedagogy, the program readies you for a teaching career in school music programs. Beyond general music instruction, majors study choral techniques, wind and string instrument teaching methods, plus specialized approaches like Kod√°ly, Suzuki, and Orff. Hartt's MMEd programs cater to educators seeking advanced training in specific areas like conducting, Kod√°ly, or research. With various specialization options available, you'll develop expertise in your chosen focus area.
