At The Hartt School, tuba students benefit from well-rounded musical education. To succeed as a professional performer, robust musical preparation and adaptability are essential. Hartt instrumentalists gain expertise in performance techniques, teaching methods, and career advancement. Through solo performances, chamber music, and large ensembles, students engage with both classical repertoire and contemporary compositions. Highly skilled students focused on professional growth with reduced academic demands can pursue the Graduate Professional Diploma. This GPD program mirrors the Master's performance curriculum while excluding music theory and history coursework. Candidates must hold a Performance Diploma, Bachelor of Music degree, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
