At The Hartt School, clarinet students gain thorough musical education. As a Hartt instrumentalist, you'll develop skills in performance, teaching methods, and career preparation. Performance opportunities in solo, chamber, and large ensemble settings expose students to both classical repertoire and contemporary pieces. Highly talented students focusing on professional growth with fewer academic demands can pursue the Graduate Professional Diploma. This GPD program offers the same performance courses as the Master's degree but excludes music theory and history requirements. Candidates must hold a Performance Diploma, Bachelor of Music degree, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

Qualification Requirements
Complete an audition and interview*. All applicants will have an interview within their major's department or with their audition panel. Applicants to all graduate music education programs will also complete a brief music skills assessment test.
