The Architectural Design + Technology (AD+T) program is an intensive curriculum that equips students for diverse careers in architecture and construction. Central to the program is the design studio, where technical, structural, and liberal arts courses converge through creative work on increasingly complex architectural projects. With a robust liberal arts component—especially focused on communication—and numerous elective options in upper years, students build a solid foundation for architectural practice. The program also provides comprehensive knowledge for pursuing advanced degrees in architecture and related fields.
At the University of Hartford, qualified AD+T undergraduates can earn both a BS in Architectural Design + Technology and a Master of Architecture in just five years. Through the MArch Track 1 option, seniors begin graduate coursework before completing a condensed 12-month (3-semester) MArch program post-graduation. This accelerated pathway reduces overall education costs and enables students to join the workforce a full year sooner than traditional 4+2 degree programs. Discover more.
