Choosing to major in music management means committing to a rigorous blend of musical and business education. Admission to the program requires proficiency in playing an instrument or singing, which may involve classical or jazz instruments/voice, or commercial instruments like bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, or vocals. Your studies will cover music theory, piano/keyboard skills, and music history, supplemented by weekly one-on-one lessons and coaching with performance instructors. Alongside arts management and business classes, this curriculum equips you with industry-ready skills. Beyond music management activities, you'll have chances to join various large ensembles that are integral to Hartt's comprehensive music training program.
You can apply if you are currently enrolled in high school or secondary school, or if you have completed high school or secondary school, but have not started a degree.
You will be required to present the following results: 2.75 (out of 4.0); 3.75 (out of 5.0); 80% (out of 100); 70% (out of 100) India/Canada.
