The Hartt School's Bachelor of Music (BMus) in Instrumental Performance is an intensive program tailored for highly skilled and driven students pursuing professional performance careers. The curriculum features specialized courses like Audience Communication, Music Career Strategies, and Orchestral Repertoire Studies, equipping students with essential professional skills such as contract discussions, recording production, stage presence, audition preparation, and repertoire curation. Hartt's Guitar Program stands as the nation's first and most advanced performance-focused guitar curriculum. Since awarding its inaugural guitar degree in 1968, the program has grown to include Master of Music, Graduate Professional Diploma, Doctor of Musical Arts, and Artist Diploma options.
