This discipline examines policy, governance, and legal systems, offering insights into how power, authority, influence, control, freedom, wealth, and other political resources are contested, obtained, and allocated. Students also learn how these elements translate into public policies, governmental actions, and legal frameworks.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government will: Gain knowledge of political systems and institutions across local, national, and global contexts. Learn to analyze diverse materials that describe and assess political events while reflecting on their own political beliefs. Develop skills to recognize, utilize, and critique political arguments.
