Philosophy fosters logical, methodical reasoning applicable to diverse careers. Ethically, it highlights accountability for one's beliefs and the value of civil discourse. Crucially, it addresses our innate desire for comprehension while channeling intellect and creativity productively. Our philosophy curriculum provides exceptional groundwork for careers in business, education, law, government, administration, healthcare, or advanced studies. Students receive comprehensive instruction in reasoning, analytical evaluation, and innovative solution-finding, with opportunities to tailor independent studies to personal aspirations. The program features a specialized track in Philosophy and Social Justice - an interdisciplinary approach permitting coursework from Africana Studies, Environmental Studies, and Gender/Sexuality Studies to fulfill degree requirements. This curriculum blends practical and theoretical perspectives on social justice, examining systemic inequities while teaching how philosophical principles can address these challenges.
