Discover Jewish heritage and traditions through our innovative interdisciplinary curriculum. Students can enroll in classes covering history, literature, political science, and languages while engaging in hands-on learning experiences like internships, faculty research projects, and international study programs. The Judaic Studies curriculum equips students for professional success by cultivating analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Our courses are led by distinguished faculty members who are both accomplished educators and published scholars, bringing diverse academic perspectives on Jewish civilization, religious studies, and Middle Eastern history. With intentionally limited class sizes, students benefit from close collaboration with peers and personalized attention from professors who actively mentor their academic growth. The program further provides practical learning experiences to help students pursue interests in fields such as museum studies, Jewish education, communications, non-profit leadership, and more. A Judaic Studies minor is also available, designed to enhance any University of Hartford major while strengthening essential critical analysis and communication competencies.
