Our Exploratory/Undecided program provides a structured approach to discovering your strengths, passions, and future career directions before selecting a major by sophomore year. Being undecided is completely normal - numerous first-year students haven't finalized their academic or professional aspirations yet. With 23 majors and 28 minors available through the College of Arts and Sciences, you'll have abundant options to investigate various fields. Our specialized program assists in pinpointing your abilities, curiosities, and possible vocational routes, giving you until the conclusion of your second year to finalize your major choice. From your initial semester, you'll access robust support resources and can enroll in specially crafted exploratory seminars. You'll complete general education courses in engaging subjects while all Arts and Sciences students participate in a First-Year Seminar focused on intriguing themes. These seminars help you adapt to college-level work while examining diverse disciplines and collaborating with peers from across the college. Past seminar examples have covered subjects like Beauty, Body Image & Feminism; Game Theory; Decision-Making Pitfalls; and Survival Narratives.
