The Artist Diploma represents The Hartt School's highest-level non-degree performance program. Applicants must show significant professional achievement and be embarking on their professional careers. Admission requires a graduate diploma, certificate, master's degree, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. Students have up to four years to finish the Artist Diploma program starting from enrollment. The coursework is customized to each student's talents, goals, and requirements, developed collaboratively between the student and an advisory panel (including their primary instructor, department head, and division leader). The program may feature one-on-one instruction, small ensemble work, large ensemble participation, and elective academic courses.

Qualification Requirements
Graduate applicants must submit two or three examples of your work with the application. These will be reviewed ahead of your scheduled audition/interview day by the composition faculty. They will use these compositions as the basis for the conversation that develops during your interview.
All new, incoming graduate students will take placement exams during the week of orientation to determine the appropriate course of study and whether subject review courses are necessary.
Complete an audition and interview*. All applicants will have an interview within their major's department or with their audition panel. Applicants to all graduate music education programs will also complete a brief music skills assessment test.

Repertoire list: Required for all auditioning applicants
Preliminary Video and Portfolio Submission
Three letters of recommendation
Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended

IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.5
PTE: minimum overall score of 58
TOEFL: minimum overall score of 80 (internet based total), and 550 (Paper-based test PBT Total).
