Pursuing flute studies at Hartt immerses you in an intensive curriculum that pushes and inspires performers. The Artist Diploma (AD) program offers rising soloists advanced instrumental training to advance their professional aspirations in the performing arts. Central to this program is rigorous instrumental focus tailored for solo concert performances, chamber music, and orchestral work. With minimal academic obligations, students can devote themselves entirely to performance mastery. Every four weeks, pairings change, ensuring all participants interact and collaborate, fostering a genuinely cooperative environment within the flute studio. Students maintain a warm, encouraging dynamic, collectively benefiting more from these shared experiences than they would through individual practice alone.
