Our Master of Science in Kinesiology with a sport management and policy specialization equips both academics and practitioners for careers in sports administration through thesis and non-thesis options.
Both program tracks provide comprehensive knowledge across various sports management disciplines through cross-departmental courses. Our program combines business strategies with sports industry demands, analyzing sport's societal role, investigating its social and philosophical aspects, and exploring relevant government and industry regulations. Learners gain practical experience through faculty-led case studies and immersive, real-world applications.
Graduates from our non-thesis option often launch careers in professional, college, or high school athletics, while others pursue corporate partnerships and sponsorship roles. Thesis-track students typically continue their education at research institutions to earn doctoral degrees.
Opting for the thesis pathway develops your research skills as you examine gaps in sports management theories and practices. Using methodical investigation, you'll employ evidence-based analysis to enhance current understanding, refine existing frameworks, or establish new theoretical approaches.
