The Master of Science in Engineering offers students a demanding yet flexible curriculum and research setting, equipping them to synthesize findings across various domains and tackle challenges that transcend conventional academic boundaries.
Its mission is to create, refine, and share knowledge and technologies for managing interdisciplinary engineering systems.
The MS-E program delivers a robust, adaptable educational framework that enables students to combine insights from diverse areas and solve multifaceted issues spanning traditional engineering fields. It provides comprehensive training in scientific and engineering principles aimed at addressing intricate problems that cross specialized engineering domains. The degree mandates 24 credit hours of coursework, featuring ENGR 6910 (Research Methods) and one seminar credit (ENGR 8950), plus six thesis research hours. Students are encouraged to take six math and six statistics credits, with remaining courses aligned with their thesis focus. For more information, consult the graduate coordinator.
As of Fall 2019, the MS in Civil Engineering with Civil Engineering Emphasis is no longer accepting new applicants. Current students in this track may either complete their degree under the existing program or transition to the newly titled Civil and Environmental Engineering MS, selecting its Civil Engineering concentration.
