The mental health master's program aims to equip students for careers across diverse community environments. With a comprehensive curriculum, it emphasizes building versatile counseling techniques applicable to multiple contexts and client populations. The University of Georgia's Department of Counseling and Human Development Services actively seeks to enroll students from varied backgrounds. Our goals include: training students in fundamental clinical counseling methods adaptable to different situations and clients, qualifying graduates for positions in mental health facilities, youth rehabilitation services, substance abuse programs, marital and family therapy centers, aging care institutions, and corporate environments, and developing practitioners capable of incorporating contemporary research into their work.
This intensive two-year cohort program addresses numerous subjects relevant to serving various demographics.
