Linguistics is the scientific study of language's intricate systems. This field encompasses phonology, phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics, examining both modern and historical languages from synchronic and diachronic perspectives. Applicants with a bachelor's or master's degree unrelated to linguistics may apply for either an MA or Ph.D., but admission to the Ph.D. program for such applicants demands exemplary qualifications.
