The Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication provides two advanced degree options for those pursuing professional or academic paths: the Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy programs.
Our M.A. curriculum focuses on combining mass communication theory, research methodologies, strategic decision-making, and analytical skills, equipping students for either continued education or careers in fields like advertising, journalism, media studies, public relations, and telecommunications.
Both master's and Ph.D. candidates start their studies in the fall. Selection considers multiple factors including undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, personal statements, recommendation letters, along with relevant professional background and academic achievements.
