Digital security and personal data protection have grown increasingly vital in today's world. As stated by the White House, cyber threats pose significant risks to both economic stability and national security, yet our current defenses remain insufficient against these evolving dangers.

The Cybersecurity Graduate Certificate program, provided by the Computer Science Department, aims to provide advanced students with fundamental and state-of-the-art knowledge in security and privacy fields, while helping develop skilled professionals and academics capable of defending against cyber threats.

Admission Requirements:

1. Open to UGA/non-UGA students with a Bachelor's degree.
2. Apply online thru UGA Graduate Admissions.
3. Official undergraduate transcript
4. No entrance exams, unless English is not the primary language in country of educational instruction. If English is not primary language, need TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Applicants must submit separate applications when seeking a certificate and a degree. Admission to the certificate does not guarantee admission to the MS degree

Minimum TOEFL score requirement: overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing
Minimum IELTS score requirement: overall band-width of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0
