The Education Specialist Degree in Education (with concentrations in TESOL or World Language Education) is an advanced program designed for those who already hold a master's degree, preparing you to take on leadership roles in TESOL or Teaching Foreign Languages (TFL), including Spanish, French, Mandarin, German, Italian, and Russian. This program addresses the dynamic needs of educators in light of technological advancements, migration trends, and other local and global shifts. Our faculty prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion in education while maintaining strong partnerships with public schools, community groups, and university departments. Upon completing the Ed.S. program, you'll qualify for T6 certification in Georgia's public school system.
The Ed.S. curriculum consists of:
24 credit hours from approved courses covering key subject areas
6 research-focused hours, which may involve conducting studies or learning research methodologies.
