The Poultry Science Ph.D. program delivers specialized instruction in fundamental and applied research from globally recognized specialists across diverse poultry science and avian biology disciplines, coupled with hands-on experience in the vibrant poultry sector. The Poultry Science Department fosters exceptional learning environments for students while supporting poultry producers, industry stakeholders, and the public through the generation, validation, and sharing of scientifically grounded knowledge.
The department provides premier graduate education opportunities for qualified candidates holding degrees in biology, chemistry, economics, or poultry science. Students can pursue MS and PhD degrees specializing in poultry products, nutrition, microbiology, molecular biology, mycotoxicology, genetics, physiology, management, or parasitology.
