The Master of Science program enables students to build comprehensive expertise in core chemical engineering principles. M.S. candidates can concentrate their studies on particular specialization tracks within the field. The program strongly recommends management-focused courses that provide practical leadership training in chemical engineering environments. Participants often enhance both practical and theoretical competencies through research projects or professional internships.
Initially, all incoming M.S. students enter the Non-Thesis track. Those choosing the Thesis track must incorporate a research component into their program. Students wishing to strengthen their research capabilities may switch to the Thesis option with consent from their research supervisor and the Graduate Studies Associate Chair.
Most M.S. students fulfill all degree requirements within one to two years.
