The University of Florida's Art Education Department within the School of Art and Art History welcomes you. We provide multiple accredited programs for aspiring art educators and those seeking advanced studies in Art Education.
Graduate students can choose between on-campus or online Master of Arts in Art Education programs (details below). The traditional program spans two years with 36 credits. Students also have the option to pursue the Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) track, which requires 39 credits.
Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited school in art education, studio art, design or art history; Minimum 3.0 GPA for the last 60 undergraduate credit hours.
For applicants from countries (including Puerto Rico) where English is not the official language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 550 paper, or 80 Internet; International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 77, or documented successful completion of the University of Florida English Language Institute program.
