The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program, following the Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSAc), primarily serves students who finished their undergraduate studies elsewhere and wish to pursue graduate studies at the Fisher School of Accounting. The curriculum provides three specialization choices: auditing focus, taxation focus, or a general track without a concentration. Except in rare cases, University of Florida undergraduates aiming for a MAcc degree should consider enrolling in the 3/2 accelerated program. Current accounting majors can utilize the MAcc Student Resources to map out their academic path.
The MAcc program requires applicants to possess substantial accounting knowledge equivalent to what's gained through an undergraduate accounting education. These prerequisite courses are generally finished before starting the program.
