Through the combined degree option, students can earn both qualifications in about one year less than pursuing them separately.

Current UF Levin College of Law students may apply to the MSF Program for a joint JD/MSF pathway. UF PhD candidates can request a flexible degree plan, with departmental approval, to pursue the MSF simultaneously. Approved students in either track can transfer 12 credits from their JD or PhD toward the MSF, lowering the requirement from 32 to 20 credits. Participants must complete all requirements for both degrees before graduating from either program, with both degrees conferred simultaneously.
