The digital era has completely reshaped how knowledge is created and disseminated. Over the last ten years, digital humanities (DH) has significantly altered academic disciplines and cultural institutions like museums and libraries by integrating digital tools into research, teaching, and public engagement practices. Additionally, DH provides fresh perspectives on technology's role in academia and society by examining it through a humanistic lens. Consequently, DH has grown into an essential element of graduate education and career development. The University of Florida now offers a nine-credit interdisciplinary graduate certificate in DH, enabling students to explore diverse DH methodologies, gain specialized expertise in their field, and create a customized portfolio through a culminating studio course. This program caters to both future academics and those pursuing alternative academic careers. Available to graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), the certificate incorporates courses from multiple colleges (Arts, Education, Journalism), accepts retroactive credit for approved courses (see Requirements), and aims to extend access to graduate and professional students university-wide.
