The Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS) specialization aims to educate clinical and translational researchers, particularly clinician-scientists, for autonomous research roles in academic, corporate, or public sectors. Professionals with this expertise are highly sought after and frequently play pivotal roles in collaborative, multidisciplinary research settings. The CPS program provides both on-campus Master's and Doctoral degree options. With faculty at the forefront of precision medicine, current investigations center on identifying genetic and environmental influences affecting medication response variations. Clinically qualified students (typically holding Pharm.D. degrees) with Florida licensure can participate in supervised clinical activities through UF's Precision Medicine Program. Further clinical experience possibilities may exist both within and beyond the College of Pharmacy.
