Students pursuing zoology delve into examining living organisms and their communities, exploring how they interact with one another and their surroundings, grounded in evolutionary and ecological principles. The curriculum covers essential areas like anatomy, behavioral studies, genetic research, physiological systems, and niche specialties. The program exposes zoology students to diverse subject matter while enabling them to follow their specific academic passions. Upper-level undergraduates often engage in faculty-led research projects. Professional paths typically demand education beyond undergraduate level, whether for graduate programs in zoological sciences, environmental studies, wildlife preservation, or biological investigation; pre-professional tracks for medical, dental, or veterinary schools; or certification for teaching at the secondary education level.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
