Equips students for professions requiring expertise in molecular biology and genetic engineering. The program offers hands-on training in diverse methodologies and scientific protocols across molecular biology, virology, bioengineering, cellular and tissue culture, and bioinformatics.
This concentration readies students for fields where molecular biology and genetic engineering skills are essential. Participants will gain practical experience with various techniques in molecular biology, virology, bioengineering, cell and tissue culture, microscopy, and bioinformatics. Additionally, the program provides strong preparation for advanced studies in biological sciences.
The Biology program builds core understanding of animal, plant, and microbial life. The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences offers four specialized tracks designed for preprofessional students, those pursuing graduate work in biology or focused areas like bioinformatics, ecology, genetics, and molecular biology, as well as those targeting careers in biotechnology, education, natural resource management, or environmental/biotechnology law.
