The Bachelor of Music program is designed for students pursuing professional music careers, advanced music studies, or private music instruction. Degree options include music combined with another discipline, music composition, music theory, and performance specializations in instrumental (brass, keyboard, percussion, strings, winds) or vocal music. These programs hold accreditation from both NASM and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
This music degree prepares graduates for professional performance opportunities, private teaching positions, and mastery in their chosen specialization, whether composition, instrumental performance, or voice. The curriculum covers music theory, history, literature, piano training, and applied lessons, helping students understand musical structures, expressive techniques, and historical influences. Through intensive applied study, students refine their technical abilities and demonstrate their learning through performance, composition, and sophisticated musical analysis.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
Minimum scores requirements are as follows:
