The Event Management program is designed for students seeking a liberal arts education focused on music. Participants have the option to pursue minors in disciplines like English, psychology, or history. Available concentrations include Entrepreneurship, Event Management, Music, Music History and Literature (with an Ethnomusicology track), and Music Theory and Composition. The University of Florida holds accreditation from both NASM and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The BA in Music offers a comprehensive liberal arts foundation with specializations in Ethnomusicology, Music History and Literature, Music Theory and Composition, or Performance. Coursework covers music theory, performance practice, musical literature, historical contexts, and piano studies, fostering an understanding of music's structure and artistic expression across different eras. Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in vocal or instrumental performance while developing analytical listening skills through critical engagement with musical works.

Qualification Requirements

At least three full years of your most recent secondary school transcript(s), including courses in progress (grades 9, 10 and 11 + senior schedule) in both the native language of instruction and a word for word certified English translation (if applicable).
All applicants must submit test scores from the SAT, ACT and/or CLT. UF will superscore (take the highest scores for each subsection) to create the highest possible total score. UF does not require or encourage applications to complete the essay portion of the ACT.
