The Bachelor of Arts program offers a liberal arts foundation with a music concentration. Students have the option to pursue minors in disciplines like English, psychology, or history. Available specializations include music, music history and literature (with an ethnomusicology focus), as well as music theory and composition. These programs hold accreditation from both NASM and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The B.A. in Music delivers a comprehensive arts education with concentrations in Ethnomusicology, Music History and Literature, Music Theory and Composition, or Performance. The curriculum covers music theory, performance practice, musical literature, historical contexts, and piano studies, fostering understanding of music's structural and expressive elements across different eras. Learners will develop performance skills on their chosen instrument or voice, while cultivating analytical listening abilities and critical thinking about musical works.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
