The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences understands that undergraduate students may have academic and career aspirations spanning multiple fields. With interdisciplinary methods, research, and coursework becoming more prominent in higher education, the college provides options for students to either create their own customized interdisciplinary study path or choose from existing interdisciplinary focus areas.
For students whose educational or professional goals aren't fully addressed by conventional departmental offerings, the IDS Program offers an alternative through the Dean's Office. Applicants to the IDS Program can develop a personalized interdisciplinary curriculum with guidance from a minimum of two (2) tenured or tenure-track faculty advisors.
