Students with strong foundations in mathematics and physics who are interested in exploring the Solar System, planetary systems, stars, galaxies, or the cosmos may consider pursuing either a Bachelor of Arts in astronomy or a Bachelor of Science in astrophysics. These programs develop valuable analytical abilities and provide comprehensive training suitable for careers in education, government, or industry, as well as preparation for advanced studies in fields like astrophysics, astronomy, engineering, medicine, law, or science education. The Astronomy Department provides two undergraduate degree paths. The Bachelor of Science in astrophysics is tailored for those aiming for scientific or technical careers, whether through graduate studies in astrophysics, astronomy, physics, or related disciplines like planetary science.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
