Our Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program enables students to deepen their expertise in specialized areas including search and rescue robotics, renewable energy systems, autonomous vehicle technologies, and emotionally intelligent robotics. Participants collaborate with Colorado's electrical engineering professionals to refine their skills in system analysis and engineering design.

We deliver graduate-level education that fosters interdisciplinary learning. Our faculty develops comprehensive educational initiatives that balance specialization with broad knowledge, while their research initiatives reflect current technological developments in both academic and industrial settings. Graduate students collaborate with faculty on pioneering research, creating innovative solutions for both longstanding and emerging challenges.

Alumni of our program have led technological innovations in diverse sectors including aerospace, energy, transportation, defense, and manufacturing. Many graduates have also applied their expertise to careers in management, information technology, finance, supply chain, and technical communications.

The ECE Department provides flexible scheduling options for both part-time and full-time students. Understanding that many students maintain full-time employment while pursuing their degree, we schedule most classes during evenings or outside standard work hours. While completing one course per quarter typically leads to graduation in approximately four years, students often accelerate their progress by taking two courses per quarter, reducing completion time to about two years. The non-thesis track allows completion within 12 months across four academic quarters. For working professionals pursuing the thesis option, research topics related to their current employment may be approved, and qualified workplace supervisors can serve on thesis committees as adjunct faculty.
