The Master of Music in Performance program equips talented musicians for professional careers in music. Organ students learn under Joseph Galema, a Lamont faculty member since 2008. He holds the position of principal organist at Colorado Springs' First United Methodist Church, among the city's most vibrant and sizable congregations. At Lamont, he provides individual instruction for organ majors and teaches courses covering organ repertoire, improvisation, and accompaniment. The school boasts a distinctive 56-rank, 3,000-pipe Schuke Orgelbau Berlin organ. Crafted in Germany, this magnificent instrument serves as the focal point of Hamilton Recital Hall, the venue designed specifically to showcase it.
