Our passionate artist-educators will guide you in building a solid jazz foundation and business mindset while mastering performance, composition, and arrangement skills.
Jazz and commercial music students perform in multiple ensembles each quarter, such as the Lamont Jazz Orchestra and various small groups. With a capped enrollment of 300 students, you'll benefit from intimate class settings and individualized instruction. The program regularly hosts world-class guest artists for workshops and concerts, with past visitors including jazz greats like Ben Wendel, Bob Sheppard, Pat Metheny, Bob Mintzer, and Wayne Bergeron.

Bachelors degree All graduate applicants must hold an earned baccalaureate from a regionally accredited college or university or the recognized equivalent from an international institution
