Global Economic Affairs breaks away from traditional economics programs. We've removed the flashy yet impractical economic theories found in textbooks, concentrating instead on real-world economic systems. This program emphasizes political economy—the intricate relationships between economics, politics, and policymaking. Students in Global Economic Affairs gain the tools to analyze today's most urgent and complicated economic issues. The curriculum covers international trade and finance, how global economic trends influence domestic politics, factors behind economic growth, inequality, and environmental sustainability, business's role in international relations and corporate ethics, along with other critical economic topics. The program connects theoretical concepts with practical policy and institutional frameworks, balancing both qualitative and quantitative approaches.

In Global Economic Affairs, you'll work alongside professors to investigate subjects such as...

Current major developments in the world economy
How globalization differently impacts government capabilities, policy independence, and national affairs
Primary factors influencing and resulting from economic growth
The interconnected nature of economic, political, environmental, and societal results
The significance of corporate leadership in international relations
The wider impacts of domestic and global economic decisions
How international, regional, and cross-regional economic organizations affect fairness, access, and economic participation
