Global Economic Affairs breaks from traditional economics programs by ditching abstract mathematical models in favor of real-world economic dynamics. We concentrate on political economy - the intricate interplay between economic forces, political systems, and policy decisions. Our program equips students to tackle modern economic dilemmas, covering international trade, monetary systems, domestic political-economic interactions, development economics, inequality, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and other critical issues. The curriculum bridges theory with practical policy applications while balancing qualitative and quantitative approaches.

In Global Economic Affairs, you'll work alongside professors to investigate subjects including...

Current transformative patterns in worldwide economics
Globalization's varied impacts on national sovereignty, policy flexibility, and domestic affairs
Fundamental catalysts and repercussions of economic growth
Interconnected economic, political, environmental, and societal results
Corporate governance's significance in international relations
Cross-border consequences of economic policymaking
How global, regional, and transnational economic institutions affect inclusion, fairness, and access

Korbel's MA and MPP degrees require 60 credits and two years of full-time study.
