Organ students learn under Joseph Galema, a faculty member at Lamont since 2008. He holds the position of principal organist at First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, which boasts one of the city's largest and most engaged congregations. At Lamont, he provides one-on-one instruction for organ majors along with courses covering organ repertoire, improvisation, and accompaniment techniques.
Lamont features a distinctive 56-rank, 3,000-pipe Schuke Orgelbau Berlin organ. Crafted in Germany, this magnificent instrument now serves as the focal point of Hamilton Recital Hall, the venue specifically designed to showcase its exceptional sound.
