The Bachelor of Music in Performance offers specialized training in Western classical music performance. Students gain intensive practical experience in their chosen discipline under the guidance of accomplished artist-educators committed to shaping successful musical careers. This competitive program combines conservatory-quality instruction with the breadth of a comprehensive liberal arts education.
Within Lamont's violin program, students enjoy numerous opportunities to refine their artistry. Performance options range from symphony orchestra and opera to chamber music, world music ensembles, and contemporary groups. Lamont violinists learn from globally recognized artists including Linda Wang, Igor Pikayzen, and Yumi Hwang-Williams, while also receiving expert pedagogical guidance from Laura Schleiger.
