Cello students at Lamont learn from Professor Matthew Zalkind and draw upon the teaching experience of Professor Heather Hadley. Zalkind, an award-winning performer at prestigious events like Moscow's International Tchaikovsky Competition, brings his extensive experience as a former Harlem String Quartet member and international soloist to help students achieve technical excellence while developing their artistic voice.
Hadley, a certified Suzuki Method instructor, has contributed to the American Suzuki Journal, appeared in SAA educational videos, and held leadership positions with the Suzuki Association of Colorado.
