Joseph Galema, a faculty member at Lamont since 2008, mentors organ students. He holds the position of principal organist at Colorado Springs' First United Methodist Church, among the city's most vibrant and sizable religious communities. His Lamont instruction includes private tutoring for organ majors along with courses covering organ repertoire, improvisation techniques, and accompaniment skills. The school boasts a distinctive 56-rank, 3,000-pipe Schuke Orgelbau Berlin organ - a German-crafted masterpiece that now serves as the focal point of Hamilton Recital Hall, a venue designed specifically to showcase this exceptional instrument.
