Our bachelor's degree programs cover core biological disciplines including general biology, molecular biology, and ecology/biodiversity. Students can pursue a biological sciences minor, specialize in cognitive neuroscience, or join our research-focused honors program. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in biological principles, practical case studies, and laboratory experiences that develop valuable analytical and research competencies for future careers.
The University of Denver's Molecular Biology BA program enables students to explore specialized fields like cellular biology, biophysics, RNA studies, and endocrinology. The program requires 44 credit hours in biology and 20 in chemistry, with an optional cognitive neuroscience specialization available.
Compared to our BS program, the BA degree offers greater flexibility for students to combine biology studies with other fields like law, business, or public policy. Graduates gain excellent preparation for careers or advanced study in interdisciplinary areas, as well as professional paths in healthcare fields like medicine, dentistry, or physical therapy.
