There's an international demand for skilled professionals who can deliver essential social services to diverse populations—offering counseling, education, coordination, and advocacy. Human Services (HS) students build the expertise needed to positively influence the lives of children, teens, adults, and families. With four specialization options, learners can train for careers across various environments like nonprofits, schools, healthcare facilities, community initiatives, and legal advocacy groups, making meaningful contributions in areas such as youth programs, disability services, racial equity, juvenile justice, addiction prevention, and domestic violence intervention.
HS students combine academic learning with hands-on experience through campus and community internships. Intimate upper-level courses foster collaborative learning through debates, team assignments, service projects, and presentations. Our distinguished faculty guide students in cultivating both personal and global viewpoints on assisting individuals and families within communities.
