The Elementary Teacher Education (ETE) program equips future educators with the expertise to excel as elementary, middle school, and special education teachers, ready to address the needs of today's diverse learners. Our curriculum offers dual certification in elementary education (K-6) paired with one of six specialization areas: English as a Second Language, special education, middle school mathematics, middle school English, middle school science, or middle school social studies. This additional certification enhances graduates' career prospects. Alternatively, students may opt for single certification in elementary education combined with a University of Delaware minor. Those considering this path should consult an advisor about potential restrictions.

ETE participants focusing on this specialization can qualify for special education certification
