The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Applied Music prepares students for professional music careers or academic positions in higher education. This specialized program focuses on mastering a primary instrument while fostering scholarly excellence and professional development in music. Admission requires an audition on one of the approved instruments, including woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, piano, classical guitar, harp, or voice.
The curriculum features intensive training in music theory, ear training, history, piano, and private lessons, along with advanced electives like counterpoint, keyboard harmony, jazz theory, and specialized seminars. Students expand their repertoire through advanced music literature classes and ensemble performances.
