Public policy serves as society's framework for tackling critical issues like healthcare, education, housing, energy, economic development, and environmental protection. These policy decisions determine how governments invest public funds, enact legislation, provide essential services, regulate industries, and distribute societal benefits and responsibilities. The field of public policy integrates knowledge from diverse areas including political science, economics, law, sociology, history, urban planning, and environmental science. Through policy decisions, communities chart their course forward and influence global change.
