Anthropology examines the human experience across all dimensions of time and space. This discipline encompasses several specialized areas (applied anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and sociocultural anthropology), with the University of Delaware's Department of Anthropology boasting internationally recognized experts in each field. By combining scientific and humanistic methodologies, we investigate human diversity through cultural, historical, environmental, and biological lenses. The department fosters hands-on learning through laboratory work, ethnographic studies, and archaeological investigations.
