Pursuing a Secondary Catholic Religion Education degree at UD equips you with the expertise to guide students in exploring and strengthening their spiritual beliefs. This program grants certification from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for teaching religious studies in grades 7-12, along with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) credential. Students benefit from exceptional facilities including a STEM laboratory and Curriculum Materials Center.

From your first year onward, you'll engage in classroom observations and practical experiences that extend through your second and third years. The program provides over 600 hours of field placement in area schools—doubling Ohio's mandated 300-hour minimum. Your final year culminates in a full-time student teaching placement, complete with mentoring and assessment to foster your professional growth as an educator.
